Anyone for tea?

Celebrating and shining a spotlight on working mums during the Brixton Design Trail was great fun. Brixton Working mothers are at the very heart of our community. They teach their children the importance of belonging to a family and our community.

15  women from Brixton were included in the exhibition with each portrait accompanied by a short piece written by the subject about her experiences combining motherhood and work.

Brixton Design 2018s theme was belonging and placing working mothers at the heart of the Brixton community enhanced their sense of belonging and connected their narrative with that of Brixton and it’s future.

This outdoor exhibition humanised a neglected area in the heart of central Brixton and gave our working mums the spotlight they deserve.
