Women@wavemaker event

What an amazing response we had to the women@wavemaker panel discussion and #MotherWorks private event. It was an honour to share the platform with some of their most inspiring creatives - Verra Budimlija and Ann Wixley, and the wonderful Pip Jamieson founder of The Dots.

Hearing what they had to say about being a woman working in the creative industries gave me and the audience a lot to think about. From how important it is to have a mentor (or several) to the fact that women need to be each other's cheerleaders. The industry/way we work is changing but there is still a long way to go to a truly inclusive diverse environment for everyone.

Thank you to Emily Fair-head Keen and Camilla Bruggen, who started the Women@Wavemaker initiative, for giving us this great opportunity.

The buzz of excitement continued into the evening at the #MotherWorks private view. Where guests from Wavemaker, and their clients mingled with artists, photographers, art directors professional mums and several of the working mothers featured in the photographs.
