So Dramatic - an art exhibition reclaiming emotion, power and space

So Dramatic reclaims a phrase so often used to silence women who dare to express emotion, demand fairness, or simply take up space. Created by artists Fiona and Lise, this exhibition brings together painting and photography in a bold celebration of women today—women navigating impossible expectations, relentless double standards, and the everyday challenge of simply getting on with life.

Lise and Fiona took over the wonderful Brixton Library Gallery space for the whole of March 2026, which includes International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day. We filled it with colour and emotion. Launching with the help of performance poetry by Urve Opic and Hannah Muller and live music. A riot of drama and colour, emotion and story telling to share women’s lived experience.
